Nicky is a Chartered Physiotherapist and Pilates Instructor. She studied Sport, Health & Exercise at Undergraduate level at Durham University before going on to study at Masters level to become a Physiotherapist. Nicky spent her early career in a large London NHS teaching hospital, progressing up to senior level. She has also worked in private hospitals, her last role being the Clinical Lead in Hydrotherapy & Outpatients at The London Clinic on Harley Street.
Nicky’s clinical interests are Sports Injuries, Inflammatory conditions, Amputee rehabilitation and Musculoskeletal problems. She enjoys her role as a Medical Expert Witness in these areas. Nicky was selected as the team Physio for England Fencing in the Commonwealth Fencing Championships in 2014. Nicky has trained to teach Pilates, Tai Chi, and Yoga and is also qualified to perform acupuncture.
Nicky lives in Chorleywood with husband and co-worker Paul, their 9 year old daughter Daisy and 2 year old son Archie. Nicky is a keen hockey player for Amersham & Chalfont Hockey Club, where Daisy also plays, and loves cycling and snowboarding. Nicky enjoys being active outdoors and playing any sport at any opportunity. She has set herself the challend of completing 40 sports events before turning 40 in October 2020, with the highlight being climbing Kilimanjaro. Nicky is a past Chair of the Chorleywood Business Association and takes an active interest in other community projects.
After graduating from The University of Hertfordshire, Paul has worked in a number of locations including a London teaching hospital, a local private hospital, a Harley Street hospital, a Clinic in the Square Mile and at The Bank of England.
Paul’s interests are musculoskeletal, sports injuries, orthopaedics, post operative rehabilitation, falls prevention, decreased mobility and elderly care.
Paul has gained postgraduate qualifications in Acupuncture and Pilates. His acupuncture training was with the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists and his Pilates training was with the Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute.
Paul grew up in Chorleywood and is married to Nicky and is Father to Daisy (9yrs) and Archie (2yrs).
Stefano is a Chartered Physiotherapist and Strength & Conditioning coach. He obtained his
Physiotherapy degree at the University of Eastern Piedmont and his Sport Science degree at
University of Turin, in Italy.
Stefano has experience both in public and private sector in Italy and in the UK. After graduating he developed his experience working with inpatients in a public orthopaedic post-surgical rehabilitation hospital and with outpatient in a private MSK clinic. Alongside his physiotherapist activity he worked as S&C coach for amateur athletes, competitive athletes both with and without disabilities. He moved to London in May 2017 and worked as a Senior Physiotherapist in a NHS Physiotherapy Community Service in North-West London.
Stefano's clinical interests are musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, chronic pain, sport injuries and S&C for sport performance and wellbeing. He has completed training in joint mobilisation and spinal manipulation, motor control, oculomotricity and pain management.
Stefano now happily lives in Chorleywood with his girlfriend. He enjoys outdoor activities such as running, skiing and trekking. He also loves swimming and he is a former competitive swimmer at national level in Italy.
Sunita qualified from London University in 1998 after which she worked in the NHS, including Mount Vernon Hospital. She took a career break to have her children and then returned to practice at BMI Bishops Wood Hospital in Northwood and local residential homes for the elderly.
Sunita is trained in Pilates and Yoga for Physios and Yoga for healthy lower backs and teaches some of the classes at the clinic as well as using it in her physiotherapy treatment. She has also practised yoga for 20 years. Sunita has specialist training and an interest in falls prevention, which is a significant problem in the elderly population.
Sunita lives in Rickmansworth with her husband and 3 school aged children . She enjoys an active lifestyle and often cycles to the Chorleywood clinic from Rickmansworth.
