Nicky Edwards

Director & Physiotherapist

Nicky is a Chartered Physiotherapist and Pilates Instructor. She studied Sport, Health & Exercise at Undergraduate level at Durham University before going on to study at Masters level to become a Physiotherapist. Nicky spent her early career in a large London NHS teaching hospital, progressing up to senior level. She has also worked in private hospitals, her last role being the Clinical Lead in Hydrotherapy & Outpatients at The London Clinic on Harley Street.

Nicky’s clinical interests are Sports Injuries, Inflammatory conditions, Amputee rehabilitation and Musculoskeletal problems. She enjoys her role as a Medical Expert Witness in these areas. Nicky was selected as the team Physio for England Fencing in the Commonwealth Fencing Championships in 2014. Nicky has trained to teach Pilates, Tai Chi, and Yoga and is also qualified to perform acupuncture.

Nicky lives in Chorleywood with husband and co-worker Paul, their 10 year old daughter Daisy and 3 year old son Archie. Nicky is a keen hockey player for Amersham & Chalfont Hockey Club, where Daisy also plays, and loves running, cycling and snowboarding. Nicky enjoys being active outdoors and playing any sport at any opportunity. She has set herself the challenge of completing 40 sports events before turning 40 in October 2020, including the Swim Serpentine 2 mile swim, Ride London 100 mile bike ride, and the London Marathon to earn the London Classics medal. Nicky is a past Chair of the Chorleywood Business Association and takes an active interest in other community projects.

Paul Edwards

Director & Physiotherapist

After graduating from The University of Hertfordshire, Paul has worked in a number of locations including a London teaching hospital, a local private hospital, a Harley Street hospital, a Clinic in the Square Mile and at The Bank of England. 

Paul’s interests are musculoskeletal, sports injuries, orthopaedics, post operative rehabilitation, falls prevention, decreased mobility and elderly care.


Paul has gained postgraduate qualifications in Acupuncture and Pilates. His acupuncture training was with the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists and his Pilates training was with the Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute. 


Paul grew up in Chorleywood and is married to Nicky and is Father to Daisy (9yrs) and Archie (3yrs). 


Stefano Scomparin


Stefano is a Chartered Physiotherapist and Strength & Conditioning coach. He obtained his Physiotherapy degree at the University of Eastern Piedmont and his Sport Science degree at the University of Turin, in Italy.

Stefano has experience both in the public and private sector in Italy and the UK. After graduating he developed his experience working with inpatients in a public orthopaedic post-surgical rehabilitation hospital and with outpatients in a private physiotherapy clinic. Alongside his physiotherapist activity he worked as Strength and Conditioning coach for amateur and competitive athletes both with and without disabilities. He moved to London in May 2017 and worked as a Senior Physiotherapist in a NHS Physiotherapy Community Service in North-West London prior to joining Chiltern Physiotherapy full time in August 2018.

Stefano's clinical interests are musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, chronic pain, sport injuries and S&C for sport performance and wellbeing. He has completed training in joint mobilisation and spinal manipulation, motor control, oculomotricity and pain management.

Stefano now happily lives in Chorleywood with his girlfriend and baby Leonardo. He enjoys outdoor activities such as running, skiing and trekking. He also loves swimming and he is a former competitive swimmer at national level in Italy.

Sarah Hatfield


Sarah is a Chartered Physiotherapist, graduating from Sheffield University in 1996. She has worked for the NHS in various acute and community musculoskeletal settings including University College London Hospital and she lectured on the Physiotherapy undergraduate degree programme at the University of East London. 

Sarah loves treating complex upper quadrant presentations and has a special interest in vestibular rehabilitation. She developed an interest in Pilates when introduced to it whilst training in ballet as a teenager and went on to develop this whilst on an elective placement with the Northern Contemporary School of Dance.


Sarah lives in Croxley Green with her husband, 2 children and a very naughty border terrier called Albie. She is passionate about yoga and enjoys keeping fit by walking and practising yoga and pilates. She loves cooking and eating good food and believes that exercise should be fun!

Aoife O'Dowd


Aoife is our wonderful Women's Health Specialist Physio. 

If you are experiencing any problems with continence, prolapse, post partum diastasis recti e.t.c. then Aoife is the perfect physio for you! 


Louise Hagan

Clinic Administrator

Louise is one of our front desk Superstar who takes great care of all of our amazing clients.

The majority of her career has been within a large corporate organisation working in customer service, training, finance and marketing.

She is a keen hockey player at Amersham & Chalfont Hockey Club as well as coaching the young hockey starts of the future. She is also a busy Mum to 3 active children.
